What is happening in this lesson?
- Hello Song: Keeping a steady beat on different parts of the body
- Vocal Play: Warms up their voices and helps them learn how to sing and use their voices
- Seashells: Differentiating high and low notes and showing the notation on the music staff (students will be putting the notes on their own music staffs)
- Composer Movement Activity: Preliminary analyzing of the piece by using different actions to show different and same parts of the music
- Differentiating the difference between beat and rhythm in music. This will help them figure out the rhythm of songs later on
- Rhythm reading: Shows reading goes from left to right, symbols equal sounds, and instill confidence in their musical abilities
- Sign Language: Reinforces language learning skills
